"Who Plays Me, Hears My Voices”, shows a recent moment in the life of Gaston Lafourcade, a classical pianist and harpsichordist who, at the age of 83, enters a recording studio for the first time in his life to record a solo album and to join his daughter, Natalia Lafourcade, who during a recess period in her career, decides to embark on this adventure as a love letter to her father and as a way to enjoy what brings them together, beyond blood ties: their deep love for music.

After an extensive tour, Natalia Lafourcade turned her attention to make a long-imagined dream come true: to produce a live studio album paying honor to the musical career of her father, Gastón Lafourcade. This album shows the passion of the 83-year-old harpsichordist and harpsichord builder whose dream was to perform, on an instrument he built, some of his favorite pieces like Bach’s Goldberg Variations and, on the piano, the music of Johannes Brahms. The elder Lafourcade invited his daughter to play together La Negrita Cucurumbé of Francisco Gabilondo Soler (CriCri) and Amarraditos Los Dos of Margarita Durán and Pedro Belisario Pérez. This touching moment is captured in the recording.
